HOW DOES IT WORK? There are:
PARTICIPANT Badges that describe what skill you’ve helped with.
They are cumulative: the more “Developer” badges you get, the more it shows. Request these badges from other participants.
MENTOR Badges that describe how you worked.
They are very qualitative: getting a “Problem solver” badge will be very valuable to developers. Request these badges from mentors (sometimes if there are not enough mentors we’ll open it to you!).
EQUALITHON TEAM Badges that show your achievements.
They show… you’re an achiever. They’re more factual so it’s the Equalithon team that usually gives them. For instance: you are part of the team that won the Equalithon - or you were voted “Best designer”
IMPORTANT:
During the Equalithon, familiarize yourself with people, and what badge you can give to whom.
You’ll be invited to attribute badges to each other every week.
You can request @hugo on Slack to create other badges.
